Jennifer Christgau-Aquino
https://www.jenniferchristgauaquino.comJennifer Christgau-Aquino writes poetry, fiction, non-fiction, essays and journalism from her Northern California home. She began her writer’s life in journalism when printing presses hummed and newspaper routes were the norm. Today, she funds her writing adventures as an adjunct professor of media studies. Her work focuses on the indomitable strength of the human spirit, with tales of women's resilience, family bonds, and the journey through grief. A lifelong Peninsula resident, she uses the Bay Area as a backdrop, illustrating how it's evolving. Her stories and poetry have appeared in Wild Roof Journal, Third Wednesday, The Dime Show Review, BrainChild, The Huffington Post, and more. She received a 2024 Gullkistan residency and is a former Craigardan resident. She’s passionate about adventure, family, the Bay Area, fog, tennis, her cat, media and teaching. In 2015, she was honored as journalism educator of the year by CAL-JEC and served two years as president of the California College Media Association. Jennifer enjoys inspiring young storytellers to take up a career in media.
