Caroline Paul is the author of the New York Times bestseller The Gutsy Girl, Escapades for Your Life of Epic Adventure (Bloomsbury, 2016), and Fighting Fire (St. Martins Press, 1998; updated, Skywriter Press 2011), a memoir of her career as a San Francisco firefighter. She also wrote the historical novel East Wind, Rain (Harpercollins, 2006) and the zany caper Lost Cat, A True Story of Love, Desperation, and GPS Technology (Bloomsbury, 2013). Her latest book, You Are Mighty, A Guide to Changing the World (Bloomsbury 2018) offers kids inspiration and instruction on civic engagement and activism. Caroline joined the Grotto in 1999 and has written five of her six published books (as well as a few unpublished ones) within these hallowed halls. Q.
